Writing copy is tricky. Developing a website is tricky the first couple times. With hundreds of sites completed, the crew at Kung Fu Develpment is ready to help you create your web presence.
We'll ask you a series of questions, gather and create your content, and produce a detailed specification for your web site. By having a detailed representation of your site, neither of us will be confused about content or functionality.
How much does a website cost?

"I think you are much wiser now." - Caine

This document should be as concrete and exact as possible, with measurable expectations, ie "pages should be under 30k in total size" rather than "pages should load lightning fast."
The time spent on defining your site will be billed at $75 per hour. After the creation of this Formal Requirements Document (FRD), you will own that FRD and can choose to solicit bids or have someone else build your site, or have Kung Fu Development do the job for you at that time.
After creation of the FRD, any items still not clearly understood by both of us will be billed on a time and materials basis.

Sample FRD Questions:

Do you already have an existing site?
Who is the target audience of your site?
What is the general purpose of the site?
Should all visitor have access to all areas of the site?
What information (if any) do you need from the visitors to your site?
Who are the your competitors and what do their sites look like?
What is the required screen resolution of the site?
Will the site need cookies?
Will the site need javascript to be active on the client browser?
What balance of whiz-bang technology and overall compatibility do you want?
Can the site require a plugin?
Can you provide all content, or will it need to be created from scratch?
What sites that already exist do you like?
Do you have any particular color scheme in mind?
